How to descale a kettle in ten minutes

If your kettle is slow or the water tastes flat, limescale is almost always the cause.

1. Fill it halfway with water and add a cup of white vinegar.
2. Boil it, then leave it for 10 minutes.
3. Pour it away and rinse the kettle twice.
4. Boil a fresh kettle of water and pour that away too.

Do this every month in a hard water area. Rinse the removable filter under the tap at the same time.
